Being of service
Posted by on July 19, 2010
Some of my readers will see that previous blog entries have been deleted. This is because I have choosen to change the purpose of my blog. When I began this blog, on April 17th, 2010, I needed to share with friends and family about my near-drowning, and also about my personal experiences with Houman Emami, a spiritual teacher who died of drowning on July 19th, 2005.
I did…
I shared about it all, and my friends and family got to read what I went through and also about how I became “A Believer,” and so the purpose of the blog was fulfilled. My past entries have all been moved into cyberspace… and are gone ‘forever. ‘ My experience remains, and my faith too, and I am now moving forward.
My blog’s new purpose is to write about ‘Being of service.’ It will hopefully inspire others to find the multiple ways to be of service in their own lives, while it will also keep me focused on what I now want most to do with the rest of my life…to be of service to The Divine, AKA God, AKA Love.
My poetry page will remain, although I do delete some poems after a while.
THANK YOU, readers, for checking in on me…AND, Welcome to my second blog.
Sending out warm Aloha, Gina

I’m a friend of Houman’s who knew him in the 1990′s. The last time I saw him was in Lucknow 1997 (or 96) and we had a friendly and interesting conversation about the Soul. I had know idea that he was parting with Advaita, or that he was teaching his own Dharma. All this I found out after his death.
I would really like to hear more about your own experience of him if you care to.
Aloha,
Yes, I would be happy to share with you about Houman. I will send an email with contact info.
